Job summary

Koch Fertilizer in Beatrice, Nebraska offers a summer 2027 Process Engineering Intern role within our Engineering team for a 12-week program from late May to mid-August 2027.

As an intern, you will partner with operations, process engineers, and instrumentation technicians to troubleshoot process challenges, analyze data, and support process optimization. You will assist with control system development and review key engineering deliverables.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited engineering program relevant to process engineering.
• Eligible for full-time employment by May 2028.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot process challenges with operations, process engineers, and instrumentation technicians.
• Support process optimization via data analysis and engineering evaluations.
• Assist with design, programming, and enhancement of process control systems.
• Review PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, and process calculations.
• Participate in MOC activities and process safety improvements.
