Job summary

GBA's Buildings Group invites you to join as a Mechanical Engineering Intern for Life Sciences in the Broomfield area. You will assist engineers with construction documents, reviews, and evaluations on bio/pharma focused projects.

You will gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Revit and Excel while supporting permitting, code reviews, and commissioning tasks on active site projects. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential as you contribute to high-quality, safe designs.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering or other related field from accredited program.
• Experience with AutoCAD Revit and Excel software is preferred.
• GPA 2.7 strongly preferred.
• Finished at least two years of school.
• Prior internship and/or related experience is a plus.
• Involvement in campus community and other volunteer activities and/or organizations.
• Strong communication skills both oral and written.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction documents for various systems.
• Review shop drawings and RFIs.
• Verify permitting and code requirements.
• Conduct facility evaluations and engineering studies.

What Youll Do

• Prepare construction documents for various systems
• Review shop drawings and RFIs

What You Bring

• Pursuing BS or MS in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering or other related field from accredited program

• Finished at least two years of school

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit stand climb and work on active construction sites for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Comfort working at heights using ladders scaffolds or stairs

Compensation

Pay range 24hr 2650hr based on years completed of school prior to internship beginning
