Job summary

GBA Lifesciences seeks an entry-level Mechanical Engineer for our Lenexa, KS headquarters. You will design mechanical systems for pharma and industrial facilities, collaborating with senior staff to develop HVAC, plumbing, and control solutions.

No more than 2 years of experience is required, with strong AutoCAD skills and RevIt familiarity. You’ll work in a multi-disciplinary office, supporting project design, documentation, and commissioning activities while ensuring code compliance and timely

Qualifications

• BS in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 0–2 years of experience in mechanical projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and controls.
• Prepare construction documents for mechanical systems.
• Review shop drawings and RFIs.
• Verify permitting and code requirements.
• Assist with facility evaluation and engineering studies.

Build Your Career with GBA The Life Sciences team at GBA is growing and in need of a candidate in our headquarters office in Lenexa Kansas Serving many of the worlds top 20 bio pharma companies the Life Sciences group is an integrated team of architects engineers commissioning specialists project managers and construction managers Project assignments include manufacturing facilities research facilities clean room R&D QA labs and pilot plants Entry level Engineers work closely with GBAs senior staff in the design of mechanical systems associated with pharmaceutical industrial warehouse and office facilities

What You’ll Do

• Design various mechanical systems such as HVAC plumbing and HVAC controls
• Prepare construction documents for various mechanical systems
• Review of shop drawings and RFIs
• Verification of permitting and code requirements
• Assist with facility evaluation and engineering studies
• Assist with troubleshooting and commissioning

What You’ll Bring

• Adept at working on fast paced projects
• Seeking a collaborative team environment to work in our multi disciplined office environment
