Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) in Baltimore is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern for Summer 2027. You will help empower energy-efficient building solutions and gain hands-on experience on significant projects under mentorship.

Ideal candidates are ABET‑accredited engineering students with at least 3 years of coursework, a 2.5+ GPA, and demonstrated leadership in student activities. We offer a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment with strong professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Enrollment in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering program from ABET accredited school.
  • Completed 3 years of coursework or junior standing.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5.
  • Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities/student organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist design on significant, complex projects and learn from professionals.
  • Observe how a successful engineering firm operates and contributes to project goals.
  • Collaborate with teammates to deliver energy-efficient building solutions.
  • Support energy-saving and environmental initiatives for clients across sectors.
