With a legacy of innovation and precision engineering, we're committed to delivering high-performance solutions that help our customers achieve flawless finishes and improved productivity.

Position Overview

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and improving custom industrial machinery and mechanical systems. This position works closely with engineering, manufacturing, assembly, purchasing, service, and sales to develop practical, manufacturable solutions that meet customer requirements.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience designing industrial machinery, automated equipment, OEM capital equipment, or other complex mechanical systems and is comfortable taking designs from concept through manufacturing, assembly, testing, and final implementation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems, assemblies, components, and structures for industrial machinery.
  • Create and maintain detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, engineering drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Develop machine designs from initial concepts through detailed design, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and release.
  • Perform engineering calculations and analysis to validate mechanical designs, component selection, loads, tolerances, and performance.
  • Select appropriate materials, bearings, motors, gearboxes, drives, fasteners, fabricated components, and other mechanical components.
  • Design fabricated and machined components with consideration for manufacturability, cost, quality, and ease of assembly.
  • Apply appropriate GD&T, tolerancing, fits, and engineering standards to drawings and designs.
  • Review customer specifications and translate requirements into practical machine designs and engineering solutions.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and assembly personnel to resolve design, fit, fabrication, and installation issues.
  • Provide hands‑on engineering support during machine assembly, testing, debugging, and validation.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems and develop effective corrective solutions.
  • Evaluate existing machine designs and recommend improvements related to performance, reliability, safety, manufacturability, and cost.
  • Create and process engineering changes and maintain accurate engineering documentation.
  • Collaborate with electrical and controls engineering to ensure proper integration of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems.
  • Support Sales, Service, Purchasing, and Production with technical questions and engineering‑related issues.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement and product development initiatives.
  • Perform other engineering duties and projects assigned.

  • Experience designing mechanical assemblies, fabricated components, and machined parts.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, tolerances, and component selection.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple engineering projects and priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineering, manufacturing, assembly, service, purchasing, and other departments.
  • Experience designing custom industrial machinery, OEM capital equipment, automated equipment, or material-processing machinery.
  • Experience taking machinery from concept through manufacturing, assembly, testing, and production release.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack‑up analysis.
