Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop robotic and automation systems for ship production. You will plan and implement energy-efficient mechanical solutions and work across departments to integrate new tools and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET accredited program.
• 5+ years of exempt experience with mechanical systems or robotics.
• Knowledge of industrial automation and production environments.

Responsibilities

• Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems.
• Implements robotics and automation projects in shipyard production.
• Collaborates with multi-department teams via email, phone and meetings.
