Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Burbank, CA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II/III focused on New Product Development for brake control systems. Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3 - 7+ years in aerospace industry; relevant experience considered.
• Experience with actuation components and systems is a plus.
• Proficiency with ANSI Y14.5 standards and 3D CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Create new products and modify existing products to meet requirements.
• Perform stress and fatigue analysis on hydraulic and mechanical components.
• Optimize design solutions based on analyses.
• Lead design projects from concept to manufacturing and qualification.
• Manage suppliers to produce compliant products within budget and time.
• Prepare documentation and support design reviews.
• Monitor testing and analyze data to verify performance.
• Conduct failure analyses and prepare FAR reports.
• Provide technical support to internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Ensure completion of projects within cost and schedule constraints.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
