Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited 4-year institution.
• 5+ years of professional experience in commercial/institutional building projects.
• Experience designing HVAC and Plumbing systems for buildings.
• EIT or PE license desired.
• Knowledge of national building codes.

Responsibilities

• Design plumbing systems including sanitary, venting, water distribution, and gas piping.
• Perform system design calculations, pipe sizing, and routing within buildings.
• Prepare contract drawings detailing the designed systems.
• Verify that designs comply with applicable codes.
• Coordinate with architects, owners, other engineering disciplines and vendors.
• Attend meetings and communicate needs and design issues with clients; BIM coordination.
