Job summary

Dynavac – a leader in custom high-vacuum process equipment with headquarters in Hingham, MA – invites a Mechanical Engineer II to join our Engineering team. The role requires expert SolidWorks proficiency, strong engineering drawing standards, and deep vacuum and thermal design knowledge.

You will lead design efforts from concept through completion, evaluate customer requirements, prepare manufacturing documentation, and present design reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–7 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize complex mechanical systems per standards.
• Create detailed 2D manufacturing drawings via SolidWorks.
• Assess design feasibility from proposals and specs.
• Prepare and present design reviews for customers.
• Apply vacuum and thermal design principles in solutions.
• Collaborate across teams and support procurement.
