Job summary

Dynavac, a leader in high-vacuum processing equipment with headquarters in Hingham, MA, seeks a Mechanical Engineer II to join our engineering team. The role requires expert SolidWorks skills, strict adherence to engineering drawing standards, and experience applying vacuum and thermal design principles.

You will lead design efforts from concept through completion, evaluate customer requirements, prepare manufacturing documentation, and conduct design reviews.

Qualifications

• Expert SolidWorks proficiency and ability to create 2D manufacturing/fabrication drawings.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawing standards and documentation.
• In-depth vacuum and thermal design principles applied to projects.

Responsibilities

• Independently design and optimize complex mechanical systems while adhering to drawing standards.
• Create detailed 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
• Analyze proposals/specifications to assess feasibility and prepare design reviews.
• Develop manufacturing documentation and support procurement with BOM items.
• Lead project management with time management and prioritization.
• Travel to customer sites for evaluations and field installations.
