Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries (Mission Technologies) seeks a Mechanical Engineer 2 to manage engineering projects across Buildings & Grounds, Waterfront, or Utilities. You will coordinate diverse mechanical systems and support safe, efficient facility upgrades within the shipyard.

The ideal candidate has an ABET-accredited degree, CAD software experience, and the ability to obtain a Confidential security clearance. This role offers a structured growth path within HII Mission Technologies.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 0–2 years experience with Bachelors or 0 years with Masters (minimum).
• Experience with SOPs and CAD software.
• SolidWorks or Inventor or equivalent 3D modeling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate mechanical and electromechanical designs.
• Support facilities improvements across the shipyard.
• Translate research to manufacturing readiness when needed.
