Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent training and experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience in mechanical design or mechanical engineering.
• Solid modeling in a professional CAD system.
• Experience creating and interpreting detailed mechanical drawings with tolerances, fits and GD&T.
• Proficiency designing machined and sheet-metal components.
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude demonstrated via lab work, fabrication, or maintenance.
• Ability to perform first-order engineering analyses and communicate assumptions and tradeoffs.
• Strong engineering judgment, problem-solving and communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, test, and improve mechanical components and system subassemblies for complex electromechanical systems.
• Develop and maintain CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and documentation for prototypes and released designs.
• Apply mechanical engineering principles including tolerance analysis, materials selection, DFM/DFA.
• Evaluate thermal design constraints for mechanical and electromechanical hardware using hand calculations, data, FEA/CFD, or other tools.
• Support hands-on assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of prototype and system hardware; document results and changes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to develop reliable mechanical solutions and resolve fabrication and performance issues.
