Job summary

You will collaborate with research and engineering teams to design, test, and optimize algorithms for gate-model systems. You have a PhD or MS in a relevant field, strong Python skills, experience with quantum SDKs, and a track record shipping production-quality code.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Physics, Chemistry, CS, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field with a specialization in quantum computing
• 5+ years of experience in development, simulation, and deployment of quantum algorithms including NISQ algorithms
• 3+ years of Python programming with production-quality code
• Expertise with quantum SDKs like Qiskit, PennyLane, or CUDA Quantum
• Expertise with principles of quantum computing and quantum information science
• Depth in at least one application vertical (e.g., quantum chemistry, ML, finance, optimization, cryptography)
• Strong software engineering: clean, well-tested code, CI/CD, version control
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development using LLM tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT Codex)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test novel high-impact quantum applications in domains like chemistry, materials science, ML, AI, finance, cryptography
• Explore applications from post-NISQ through fault-tolerant commercial utility
• Identify algorithms that enhance hardware value considering its features and constraints
• Implement and support simulation features
• Collaborate with quantum engineers to run applications on hardware
