Job summary

Verathon is seeking an Electrical Engineer III for our Urology R&D team in Bothell, WA. You will design and develop electronic systems, including camera, lighting, and PCB assemblies, for a new urology product within our NPD framework, working primarily on-site.

Responsibilities include translating system requirements into detailed designs, performing analyses, developing prototypes, and supporting design verification and validation, EMI/EMC compliance, and cross-functional collaboration across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years related experience with bachelor’s degree or 3 years with master’s/PhD; medical device experience preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with camera systems, imaging sensors, LED lighting design, and power management.
• Familiarity with design controls and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as core technical contributor on major development projects.
• Follow development procedures and maintain design controls.
• Develop electronic systems and documentation per standards.
• Collaborate with vendors and contract manufacturers for manufacturability and cost.
• Adapt communication style to diverse audiences.
• Design robust multilayer PCBs and flex circuits.
• Evaluate approaches and prototype/test solutions.
• Support project scope, proposals, and cost controls.
• Integrate subsystems including imaging sensors, LED drives, power, and microprocessors.
• Identify and resolve EMI/EMC issues.
