Job summary

Myomo Inc. in Burlington, MA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join the Engineering team. You will own mechanical design tasks from concept through production for the MyoPro product line, delivering reliable, manufacturable components in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with electrical & controls engineers, interact with suppliers, and contribute to CAD models in SolidWorks while prioritizing performance, cost, and reliability. Medical-device experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-5 years’ professional experience with mechanical design ownership from concept through production.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, DFM, and related mechanical‑engineering best practices.
• Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping and at least one production process (CNC, injection molding, sheet metal, or additive manufacturing).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines; able to work independently or in a team.
• Medical-device experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support subsystem design and continual improvement of Myomo’s robotic exoskeletons.
• Contribute to mechanical and electromechanical subsystems from concept through production.
• Develop CAD assemblies and drawings in SolidWorks.
• Interact with suppliers to obtain quotes and assess manufacturability (CNC, sheet metal, etc.).
• Collaborate with electrical & controls engineers on portable sensing and actuation systems.
• Assist in prototype construction and evaluate performance.
• Perform drafting, tolerancing, and DFM for low-mid volume manufacture.
