Job summary

The Mechanical Engineer II at KCNSC, managed by Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies, performs and analyzes routine to moderately complex engineering tasks to support manufacturing and quality while applying mathematical, physical science, and engineering methods.

The role focuses on designing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing and measuring processes to ensure reliability and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or Physics from ABET-accredited program
• 2+ years of relevant engineering/analytical experience
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
• Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management

Responsibilities

• Assist design/project management of products, programs, components, tools, and acceptance equipment under technical guidance
• Define and acquire equipment to manufacture/inspect parts to assure quality
• Develop test procedures and perform routine to moderately complex engineering evaluation tests and quality audits
• Collaborate with partners, customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve design and production issues
• Prepare evaluation reports and initiate improvements for productivity and quality
