Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) in Boston is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to advance energy-efficient building systems and sustainable design.

You will contribute to challenging projects across healthcare, science, and technology sectors, applying your HVAC expertise and collaborative problem-solving. This role requires a BSAE/BSME, 3+ years of HVAC design experience in technical facilities, and PE licensure or path to licensure.

Qualifications

• BSAE or BSME required.
• 3+ years’ experience designing HVAC building systems in technically sophisticated facilities.
• PE License or ability to become licensed.
• Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document system designs from concept plans and design criteria.
• Interpret information set forth in basis of design, as well as information from users, project partners, field surveys, and code research.
