Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) in Gainesville seeks a Mechanical Engineer II to design HVAC systems for energy‑efficient facilities and to contribute to innovative building solutions.

You will document designs from concept through criteria, collaborating with users and partners, and applying basis of design information. A PE license or progress toward licensure is expected, with strong Revit MEP/AutoCAD skills.

Qualifications

• BSAE or BSME required.
• 3+ years’ experience designing HVAC building systems in technically sophisticated facilities.
• PE License or ability to become licensed.
• Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs (Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document system designs from concept plans and technical design criteria.
• Interpret and utilize information from basis of design and from users, project partners, field surveys and code research.
• Collaborate with team to ensure effective design solutions for energy-efficient buildings.
