Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) in Seattle seeks a Mechanical Engineer II to design and document energy-efficient HVAC systems for technically sophisticated facilities. You will interpret design criteria and gather data from users, partners, surveys, and code research to develop robust, field-ready solutions.

The role requires a BSAE or BSME, 3+ years of HVAC design experience, and a PE license or plan to obtain one. Proficiency with Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks is preferred.

Qualifications

• BSAE or BSME required.
• 3+ years’ experience designing HVAC building systems in technically sophisticated facilities.
• PE License or ability to become licensed.
• Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exercise independent judgment to develop and document system designs from concept plans and technical design criteria and interpret and utilize information set forth in basis of design as well as information gathered from users, project partners, field surveys, and code research.
