Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker’s Global Tools & Storage engineering team in Towson, MD, is seeking an Engineer to contribute to design, testing and analysis of cordless power tools. You’ll develop 3D models, run stack-ups, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to meet quality, performance and cost objectives.

A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 1–3+ years of experience is expected, along with CAD/FEA skills and proficiency in MS Office.

• Computer literate; MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel; 2D/3D CAD; FEA.

Responsibilities

• Support the design process to achieve quality, performance and cost objectives.
• Perform hands-on concept development, prototyping, product testing and data collection.
• Construct 3D models to evaluate design options and document results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define customer requirements and tests.
• Support builds of engineering, manufacturing and pilot lots to ensure quality.
