Job summary

Inceed, L.L.C. is partnered with a Houston-based client to recruit a Mechanical Engineer II for an on-site, hands-on R&D role.

You’ll contribute to new product development, design, testing, and validation, working closely with Mechanical and Electrical teams to move concepts from idea to implementation. Design mechanical components and systems, create 3D/2D SolidWorks models, support testing, and document results.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in R&D or product development.
• Strong SolidWorks 3D and 2D CAD skills; GD&T knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and product solutions.
• Create 3D and 2D CAD models in SolidWorks.
• Support product testing and validation activities.
• Contribute to R&D and new product development projects.
• Collaborate with Electrical and Manufacturing teams.
• Improve and refine existing products.

Position: Mechanical Engineer II

Compensation: $85,000 – $115,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Houston, Texas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Mechanical Engineer II to join their team!

This is a hands‑on R&D opportunity where you’ll play a key role in new product development, design, testing, and validation. You’ll work closely with Mechanical and Electrical Engineering teams on innovative electromechanical products, contributing to projects from concept through implementation. If you enjoy solving technical challenges and seeing your designs come to life, this role offers a strong chance to make an immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Design and develop mechanical components and product solutions
• Create 3D and 2D CAD models in SolidWorks
• Support product testing and validation activities
• Contribute to R&D and new product development projects
• Collaborate with Electrical and Manufacturing teams
• Improve and refine existing products
• Document design work and technical results clearly
• Participate in cross‑functional project discussions

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 2-4 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience
• Experience in R&D or product development
• Strong SolidWorks 3D and 2D CAD skills
• Experience with GD&T
• Background in product testing and validation
• Ability to work onsite in Houston, Texas
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
