Job summary

Computer Task is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II for a W2 contract with a Fortune 500 client in Hemlock, MI. You will support manufacturing equipment reliability, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement on upgrade projects, partnering with operations, maintenance, engineering, vendors, and project teams to improve uptime and maintainability.

The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, 3+ years of relevant experience, and the ability to work

  • Ability to collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and project teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects and equipment work meet safety, quality, and operational requirements.

Job description

CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Mechanical Engineer II, to support manufacturing equipment reliability, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and equipment upgrade projects. This role will partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, vendors, and project teams to improve equipment uptime, performance, and maintainability while ensuring safe and quality execution.

Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Hemlock, MI
Pay Rate: Based on experience
Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

ITAR facility: Candidates must comply with applicable DOD/ITAR requirements and be U.S. citizens or U.S. nationals.
