The candidate should have a Bachelor’s in Engineering, 1–2 years of mechanical experience, and ideally be an Engineer in Training (EIT).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
  • 1–2 years of Mechanical experience recommended.
  • E.I.T. preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and concepts.
  • Familiarity with building codes and industry standards.
  • Ability to read plans and specifications.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and design software.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Revit/AutoCAD system engineering.
  • Design and plan mechanical system designs and layouts under the direction of a lead engineer.
  • Apply expertise to HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Energy Modeling systems.
  • Prepare project deliverables with attention to detail.
  • Read plans and specifications and edit/write specifications.
  • Apply building codes and industry standards.
  • Perform engineering calculations and equipment selection based on load requirements.
  • Interact with clients and project team members.
  • Support the project lead in developing opinions of probable construction costs.
  • Contribute to site visits and prepare reports.
  • Implement the project quality management plan (QMP).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 1–2 years of Mechanical 1 or equivalent experience
  • Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) preferred
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and engineering concepts
