Jobtailor seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to support industrial capital projects. You will work on HVAC, water, steam, and utility systems, sizing, calculations, and Revit modeling within a multidisciplinary team.
The role requires an ABET‑accredited engineering degree, an Engineer‑in‑Training certification, and 3+ years of facility design experience. Travel for on-site activities and start-up support is expected.
• Support the design and delivery of mechanical building and utility systems for industrial capital projects
• Develop coordinated solutions for custom manufacturing, advanced technology, and life sciences facilities as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Design HVAC, water, chilled water, wastewater, steam, hot water, compressed air, and plumbing systems
• Perform mechanical system analysis, sizing, calculations, and equipment selection
• Develop coordinated mechanical design documents and system models using Revit
• Prepare technical reports, design narratives, drawings, and specifications
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, process, architectural, and construction team members
• Coordinate mechanical design requirements with clients, project partners, and other engineering disciplines
• Review project documentation and design information for consistency, accuracy, and constructability
• Support multiple project assignments while meeting quality, schedule, and client requirements
• Apply applicable codes, engineering standards, and Design Group practices
• Support client-site activities, including field assessments, installation, start-up, meetings, and training, as required
Demonstrates expertise in mechanical facility design engineering, including HVAC, plumbing, and utility systems for industrial projects. Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD, with strong capabilities in technical report writing and multidisciplinary collaboration.
