Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a mechanically minded student for a summer internship in Orlando, offering hands-on application of coursework on real projects from concept to completion, with on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced engineers.

You will learn Revit drafting, HVAC and plumbing system design, and IES VE, while supporting a consulting team. This full-time role runs May–August 2026, ideal for ABET-accredited or pursuing bachelor’s degrees in mechanical or architectural engineering.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing an ABET accredited bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering
• Desire to pursue a career in engineering consulting
• Ability to work full time (40 hours per week) from May through August 2026
• Knowledge of or ability to learn Revit and IES VE

• Apply academic education to assigned tasks on real projects of all sizes and types, from concept to completion of construction
• Receive on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced engineers
• Learn the basics of Revit drafting and modeling
• Learn mechanical design of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
• Learn mechanical design of plumbing systems

Requirements

• Current student pursuing an ABET accredited bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering
• Desire to pursue a career in engineering consulting
• Ability to work full time (40 hours per week) from May through August 2026
• Computer software knowledge or ability to learn, as appropriate, including Revit and IES VE
