Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support new product development for thermal global products. You will design mechanics and thermal systems from concept to launch, with hands-on lab support on a 2nd shift (approximately 11am–8pm).

Responsibilities include CAD work, BOM maintenance, cross‑functional collaboration, prototype support, data analysis, and lab testing coordination to drive product performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Creates/modifies mechanical parts/assemblies/drawings in CAD systems (Creo/Solid Edge).
• Maintain BOMs and unit configurator logic for customer options.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Manufacturing, Service and Quality to meet requirements.
• Assist with prototype builds and provide technical guidance.
• Gather feedback from prototypes and field trials and implement improvements.
• Troubleshoot escalated or recurring field issues.
• Coordinate testing in the lab.
• Analyze test data to diagnose issues and drive performance improvements.
• Model thermal systems to determine performance and select correct parts.
• Determine control routines for optimal operation and customer satisfaction.
