Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Engineer I, Mechanical to support power plant upgrades and new projects under supervision. You will perform calculations, modifications, and designs, and work with senior engineers to improve plant performance, safety, and reliability.

Qualifications include a BS in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited), strong communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Overtime and travel to client sites may be required, with site walk downs and entry into confined spaces as

Qualifications

All applicants must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
Effective time management skills are required as position may involve working on several projects concurrently.
Ability to pass security and drug screening and maintain unescorted nuclear plant access is required.
Overtime work is required at times. Travel is required to client sites with periods of field/office work.
Ability to perform walk downs of equipment in an industrial plant environment, including climbing ladders and entering confined spaces.

Responsibilities
