Job summary

Amrize is hiring a Build For Growth Mechanical Engineer I at the Ravena Cement Plant, NY. You will support operation and maintenance of plant equipment and help implement CBM programs as part of the Build4Growth Program, a 14-month learning initiative for new graduate engineers.

The role emphasizes reliability, PMR development, and collaboration with suppliers and plant staff to ensure optimal equipment availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3 years of equivalent experience.
• Field of Study Preferred: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar field.
• Required Work Experience: 0-3 years.
• Required Computer and Software Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Travel Requirements: 5%.

Responsibilities

• The Mechanical Engineer will work with equipment suppliers and plant staff to ensure successful operation of the plant.
• Monitor reliability-based systems including preventive maintenance, vibration analysis, and condition monitoring.
• Create preventative maintenance routines (PMRs) and BOMs for new equipment; manage PM/PMR programs.
• Perform root cause analysis, Pareto analysis, and FMEA to eliminate recurring problems.
• Support improvements to Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of major equipment.
• Coordinate SAP PMR optimization with maintenance planners and provide training within maintenance teams.
