Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I in Fort Worth, TX to support small projects and larger work segments. You will assist with design, analysis, drawings, and client communication under senior engineers’ guidance.

The role emphasizes professional development, coordination with architects and utilities, and mentoring of junior staff. A PE is preferred, with ABET-accredited degree and four years’ experience. SSR offers ownership culture and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required with four years of applicable design experience.
• Licensed PE (Professional Engineer) is required or must be achieved.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD and industry software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with standard design engineering techniques on small projects.
• Develop designs and analyses under senior engineers’ guidance.
• Prepare drawings, documents, and QA/QC checks for accuracy.
• Coordinate with architects, utilities, and other disciplines.
• Support project management with budgets, scheduling and reporting.
• Mentor designers and EITs and contribute to continuous learning.
