Job summary

TK Elevator is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer I in Atlanta, GA to design, develop and analyze mechanical components of elevator systems. The role involves collaborating with engineers to support development, verification and validation throughout the product life-cycle.

Responsibilities include designing components, referencing A17.1 codes, using CAD tools like SolidWorks and AutoCAD, and ensuring safety and quality in manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 1–5 years of related experience required.
• Experience in a team environment.
• Strong knowledge of physics, motion dynamics, and mechanical engineering.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Blue Beam/Adobe Writer.

Responsibilities

• Designs mechanical components and elevator systems.
• Works under general supervision with limited instructions.
• Collaborates with other engineers to achieve goals.
• Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software.
• Applies the A17.1 elevator code as the basis for designs.
• Generates designs per requirements, procedures and specifications.
• Evaluates designs for hydraulic and traction elevators.
• Contributes in a team environment.
• Follows safety procedures in lab and test tower.
• Complies with corporate policies.
• Performs special projects as assigned.
