Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineering I in New Jersey to support engineering teams on inspiring, technically demanding projects.

You will learn from senior engineers, develop designs under guidance, and perform CAD/BIM drafting for varied projects, gaining hands-on experience in architectural engineering design and documentation. The EDT program training and mentorship will shape your growth and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Electrical engineering, or Architectural Engineering.
• E.I.T. or FE required.
• Knowledge of the latest version of MEP Auto CAD; REVIT experience is a plus.
• Proficient in design and calculation software; MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Create basic designs under the direction of the senior engineer and/or senior designer.
• Learn drawing organization and company standards.
• Perform CAD/BIM drafting for a variety of projects and project sizes to begin to understand architectural engineering design and documentation.
• Coordinate with the designs of other trades under guidance of more senior staff.
• Support the design and engineering efforts of systems for new installations, system retrofits, and upgrades.
• Take ownership of the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of the work assignments.
• Assist engineers with field investigations and construction site visits.
• Attend EDT program training sessions and support activities.
