Job summary

Pro2Serve is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I for our Knoxville, TN corporate office. This direct hire position involves learning standard engineering tasks, performing routine designs, and assisting with reports and calculations on DOE/DOD projects.

The role emphasizes HVAC, piping/plumbing layout, and development of mechanical drawing packages, with opportunities to grow knowledge of ASME/ASHRAE codes and mechanical software.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• EIT or ability to obtain EIT within 6 months.
• Demonstrated 0-2 years of previous engineering experience.
• CAD experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learning to apply standard Engineering tasks. Begins working knowledge of applicable codes.
• Performs routine designs and calculations in accordance with established standards.
• Assists in preparing engineering reports, studies, calculations, etc.
• Participates in conferences with client to learn how to establish project objectives and resolve technical problems.
• Demonstrates ability to get along with coworkers, customers and visitors.

Education
