Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: BSME from accredited college or university.
• 0-3+ years of experience in designing mechanical components/subsystems and applying ASME Y14.5M.
• Requires strong oral/written communication skills and must be capable of conducting effective oral presentations.
• Requires the ability to interact effectively with fellow engineers and members from other departments, customers, vendors and corporate management.
• Requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team; against deadlines, time constraints and with limited resources.
• Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint) and possess the ability to create spreadsheets, word processing documents and presentations.
• Knowledge of applied thermodynamics and mechanical design required.
• Extended hours and overtime are occasionally required to meet job requirements.
• Travel is occasionally required.Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Performs assignments of mild complexity and assists other Engineers.
• Designs mechanical equipment, systems and processes.
• Performs calculations and analyses to ensure suitability of design.
• Solve problems related to the assembly, repair and test of environmental control systems.
• Performs assignments which involve responsibility for a secondary project or a part of a major project.
• May give direction to drafters/designers.
• Works with colleagues across all levels of the division.
• Writes reports as required.
• Presents designs to peers, fellow engineers and customers.
