Job summary

Parker Aerospace Group in Irvine, CA, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design and test military refrigeration and thermal management equipment. You will perform analysis, development, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electro‑mechanical systems, and conduct drawing checks while coordinating with multiple departments and customers.

The role requires hands‑on hardware experience, knowledge of fluid dynamics and heat transfer, and exposure to ANSI Y14.5 standards.

Qualifications

• BSME degree from four‑year college or university with 5–7 years related experience.
• Master's in mechanical engineering is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience with design and fabrication of mechanical/electro‑mechanical systems.
• Hands‑on test and hardware experience required.
• Knowledge of fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
• Experience in Military/Aerospace Industry.
• Strong oral/written communication skills; able to present to customers.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, develop, test and troubleshoot mechanical/electro‑mechanical equipment for military refrigeration and thermal management systems.
• Perform drawing checks for colleagues and engineers; interact with multiple departments, customers and management.
• Serve as project/cognizant engineer for medium‑level complexity projects; lead if required.
• Ensure completion of cost, schedule and technical performance requirements.
