Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Colorado to support oil and gas project execution. You will work with fellow engineers to develop piping specs, CADWorx deliverables, P&ID development, and technical bid evaluations.

You will create BOMs, equipment data sheets, and maintain construction docs while interfacing with senior staff and clients. PE/EIT preferred, and travel to site may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 0-5+ years of oil and gas industry experience.
• Experience with piping specifications and CADWorx preferred.

Job description

• Responsible for working with fellow mechanical engineering team members for project execution support.
• Perform mechanical engineering tasks and calculations for oil and gas projects inclusive of: Create piping specifications and CAD files in CADWorx Supporting P&ID development Create/assist with technical bid evaluations Create mechanical deliverables including but not limited to line lists, equipment lists, specialty item lists
• Participate in cross-discipline squad checks
• Create project bill of materials (BOM)
• Duties also include preparing equipment data sheets, equipment specifications, equipment design and development, updating and maintaining construction documents, preparing and reviewing MRQs / RFQs.
• Interpret and review Models, piping plans, piping sections and piping isometrics
• Identify, interpret and apply relevant codes and standards to engineering designs
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff including senior management, clients, and other disciplines.
• Ability to travel to support field work activities periodically (including site commissioning).
• Ability to analyze, define, and solve problems. Ability to prioritize workflow, multitask, meet deadlines, and remain flexible.

Requirements

• Bachelors’ Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 0-5+ years of experience in oil and gas or closely related industry
• Experience with some of the duties and task listed in the essential duties section
• Experience with common O&G facilities including: compressor stations, liquid and gas storage, tank batteries, plant and metering facilities.
• PE / EIT preferred
