- Support the Engineering and Design business unit, working with multidisciplinary project teams to serve industrial clients in the power generation, oil and gas, and manufacturing sectors.
- Develop and review engineering calculations, system specifications, and construction drawings; select equipment and components; and guide project execution from concept to bid packages.
- Contribute to technical reports, cost estimates, proposals, and client-facing documentation that support critical infrastructure investments.
- Help ensure project milestones are met and provide regular updates to team members and clients.
- Serve as lead mechanical engineer or project manager for large capital projects within industries.
Requirements
- Education: mechanical engineering degree
- Experience: 5+ years or relevant experience
- Willingness and ability to regularly travel
- Software: familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office software, and computer simulation modeling
- Driver’s license: possession of a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification strongly preferred or ability to obtain.
