Job summary

INTEGRA Design Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, coordinate, and review HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for diverse building projects in Charlotte, NC. You will work closely with senior engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of mechanical design experience, proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, and familiarity with building codes and energy modeling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• PE license strongly preferred.
• Experience with mechanical systems design for buildings is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and layout HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for building projects.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for mechanical systems.
• Perform hydraulic and mechanical calculations and develop technical reports.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, structural, electrical, architectural).
• Support construction administration, including field visits, RFIs, and submittal reviews.
• Attend project meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors; stay current with codes and standards.
• Utilize design software such as Revit and AutoCAD and related tools.
