Job summary

CDG Engineers is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer in a hybrid role based in or near Charlotte, NC, with the option to work from St. Louis, MO.

The ideal candidate will design and implement complex HVAC and MEP systems for industrial and power utility projects, lead project teams, and manage client relationships. Requirements include a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, proficiency in Revit and Trane Trace 3D, and on-site survey capabilities.

Qualifications

• BSME required and 5–10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with HVAC and MEP design across diverse project types.
• Experience with mechanical building systems in industrial settings.
• Ability to conduct on-site surveys and document conditions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex HVAC/MEP systems for industrial projects.
• Prepare construction drawings and specifications for bidding and construction.
• Coordinate with contractors, architects, and other engineering disciplines to execute projects.
• Drive projects to completion with site visits and client meetings as needed.
