Job summary

DEVITA Inc. is seeking a Mechanical HVAC Engineer to join our growing team in Charlotte, NC.

You will design mechanical building systems for commercial, higher education, institutional, healthcare, hospitality, residential, and light industrial facilities, and contribute to energy analyses and project documentation. The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, a PE license, and at least five years of experience in HVAC and plumbing design.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum 5 years of experience designing mechanical building systems (HVAC/plumbing).
• Requires a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and a PE license.
• Proficient in Revit MEP and AutoCAD for design and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Design efficient, cost-effective building mechanical systems for various facilities.
• Perform HVAC load calculations, equipment selection, energy analysis, and system layout.
• Prepare construction documents and support code compliance throughout project development.
• Coordinate with architects, structural/electrical engineers, owners, and contractors.
• Develop and maintain project designs using Revit and AutoCAD.
