Actalent is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead major projects and mentor the next generation of engineers in Charlotte, NC. This role combines technical leadership with project management, client interaction, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

You will oversee HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design for diverse buildings, while guiding teams and driving design excellence in a hybrid work environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 10+ years of experience in Architecture & Engineering consulting environment.
• Extensive experience designing HVAC systems for commercial/institutional buildings.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering projects and manage budgets/schedules.
• Strong technical writing, documentation, and client-facing communication.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design of HVAC, plumbing, process piping, and fire protection systems.
• Develop concepts, design strategies, construction documents, and analyses.
• Serve as mechanical engineering lead on complex multidisciplinary projects.
• Present recommendations and guide clients through design and construction challenges.
• Direct and mentor project engineers, designers, and junior staff.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and overall financial performance.
• Collaborate with architects, owners, contractors, and engineering teams.
• Support proposal development and business growth initiatives.
