Job summary

Stillpoint AEC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with current experience designing HVAC and mechanical systems for buildings within an MEP consulting environment. The role involves leading design efforts, producing calculations, and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams across a diverse project portfolio.

The position offers hybrid or onsite work opportunities, a path toward PE licensure, and opportunities for professional development within an established engineering practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline preferred.
• Current HVAC and mechanical building systems design experience in an MEP/AEC environment required.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE standards, IMC, IECC and energy codes.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD and energy modelling software.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and mechanical building systems including air distribution, hydronic systems, central plants, heating and cooling systems, ventilation and related infrastructure.
• Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, psychrometric analysis, and energy calculations.
• Develop system layouts, ductwork, piping, equipment schedules and control sequences.
• Coordinate systems with architecture, electrical, plumbing and other disciplines.
• Prepare calculations, reports, plans, specifications and construction documents.
