Job summary

Stillpoint AEC seeks an Electrical Engineer with current experience designing electrical systems for buildings within an MEP consulting or AEC environment. You will lead design efforts, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and advance projects from schematic through construction documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline preferred.
• Experience designing building electrical systems in an MEP/AEC environment.
• Experience with power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm systems.
• PE licensure preferred; EIT candidates progressing toward PE licensure considered.
• Experience with industry software such as Revit, AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower, AGi32, Visual Lighting or similar.
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA standards, energy codes, and building codes.
• Experience preparing electrical calculations, plans, specifications, and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Design building electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency and standby power, fire alarm, grounding, and low-voltage systems
• Perform electrical load calculations, voltage drop calculations, short-circuit and coordination studies, equipment sizing, and related electrical engineering analysis
• Develop power distribution systems, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, lighting layouts, lighting controls, and electrical equipment specifications
• Perform electrical service and distribution design including transformers, switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, generators, and related building electrical infrastructure
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, specifications, and construction documents
• Apply NEC, NFPA, energy codes, and applicable building and electrical design standards
• Coordinate electrical systems with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, structural, civil, technology, and other project disciplines
• Support projects through schematic design, design development, construction documentation, permitting, bidding, and construction administration
• Provide project coordination, technical guidance, client interaction, and mentorship based on experience level
