Job summary

Morrison-Maierle, Sheridan, WY, seeks a Mechanical Engineer (HVAC & Plumbing) to design building systems and integrate them with architectural plans. This exempt-salaried role requires a bachelor’s in engineering, 4+ years of HVAC/plumbing experience, EIT, and PE licensure or progress toward it, with REVIT proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 4+ years' mechanical engineering experience with HVAC & plumbing design.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) professional licensure required.
• Professional Engineering (PE) licensure or willingness to obtain soon after hire.
• Proficiency with REVIT engineering design software.

Responsibilities

• Interpret architectural design plans and select HVAC and plumbing systems to fit the project scope.
• Design heating, cooling, and plumbing systems to support the building plan.
• Apply thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, materials science, and structural analysis principles in design work.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to understand how mechanical design impacts the project.
• Use design software to draft plans, drawings, and models.
• Select equipment to support building HVAC/plumbing needs.
• Find creative solutions for challenging spaces in projects.
• With operations, help develop new client work and win projects.
