Job summary

TP Mechanical is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to read and interpret blueprints, select HVAC and plumbing equipment, and drive design-build projects. You will develop energy analyses, life-cycle cost studies, and code-compliant bid documents while ensuring conformance with specs and budgets.

The role requires collaboration with clients, owners, and design professionals, plus participation in project meetings and site visits to ensure design intent is achieved on time.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of design experience in HVAC and plumbing.
• Licensed Professional Engineer preferred; PE license highly advantageous.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office suite required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and reports.
• Specify system components for HVAC and plumbing design projects.
• Perform design-build and design-assist tasks with energy and lifecycle cost analyses.
• Develop bid/construction/permit documents in accordance with codes and standards.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to meet budgets and milestones.
• Attend project meetings and site visits as needed.
