Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a skilled HVAC Mechanical Engineer (PE) to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Design code-compliant & complex HVAC systems
• Perform HVAC cooling and heating load calculations using Carrier HAP or similar programs
• Design complete HVAC drawings including ductwork & piping plans, schedules, details, riser diagrams, controls diagrams, and specifications
• Coordinate design between all trades, including internal team members as well as architect/client
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining quality and deadlines
• Perform construction administration services (submittal reviews, RFI responses, field visits to verify construction, and assisting in start-up of systems)
• Occasionally travel for on-site surveys to document existing conditions

Background:

• BS Mechanical Engineering
• 5-10 years of experience, preferably in a design firm setting
• PE required
• LEED accreditation is a plus
• Experience developing designs using AutoCAD and Revit
• Knowledge and experience with HVAC designs from schematic through construction
• Experience with various HVAC systems including, central plant systems, chillers, boilers, VRF, DOAS, VAV systems, etc.
• Knowledge of all applicable codes, IMC, IECC, ASHRAE, etc.
