Position: Industrial/Semiconductor Mechanical Engineer (Remote)

This remote-based role is open to candidates outside existing Farnsworth Group locations. You will manage multiple projects involving full mechanical design, including HVAC/Exhaust, cleanroom design, plumbing, and process utility systems, primarily in advanced manufacturing and technology markets such as semiconductor, biotech, pharmaceutical, and food & beverage. You will report to an Engineering Manager who will provide mentoring and training.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare accurate Mechanical system construction drawings and specifications for review and construction administration.
2. Develop preliminary schematics, final designs, calculations, and select equipment and layouts.
3. Manage project design budgets and schedules while maintaining quality.
4. Conduct code research and ensure application compliance.
5. Coordinate with other disciplines, clients, and contractors.
6. Collaborate with production staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
• 8-15 years of experience in complex system design.
• PE license preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of ICC model codes (Fire, Building, Mechanical, Plumbing).
• Experience with medium/large commercial and institutional facilities.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and occasional travel.
