Job summary

RTM Engineering Consultants seeks a Mechanical Engineer (Levels II–V & Senior) to lead mechanical design and produce construction drawings for project owners. You will coordinate with the design team and client, and provide ongoing professional support through the construction phase.

You’ll mentor junior engineers, contribute to proposals, and ensure QA/QC across activities. This on-site role collaborates with multi-disciplinary teams at RTM’s offices nationwide, emphasizing teamwork, quality,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC/plumbing/fire protection systems, equipment and concepts.
• Knowledge of engineering drafting standards.
• Knowledge of company & design standards.
• Expert knowledge of building codes and standards.
• Understanding of construction process and interpretation of construction drawings.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Revit.

Responsibilities

• Manages project timelines and coordination between design team and client.
• Prepares accurate proposals and engineering agreements.
• Produces mechanical design elements in line with project specifications.
• Delivers construction documents for permitting and approvals.
• Oversees QA/QC processes and coordinates with internal and external partners.
