Job summary

R.T. Moore is looking for a Design Engineer to create high-quality HVAC and Plumbing designs and construction drawings that maximize installation efficiency.

This on-site position involves working closely with design teams, ensuring compliance with codes, and maintaining communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle. A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and relevant experience in HVAC or Plumbing Design are preferred.

The role offers a dynamic work schedule from Monday to Friday, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years relevant experience in HVAC and/or Plumbing Design preferred.
• Professional Engineering (PE) License preferred, but not required.
• Strong experience preparing construction documents using discipline-specific software.

Responsibilities

• Design plumbing systems in Multi‑family and light commercial buildings.
• Calculate project heating, cooling, and ventilation loads.
• Maintain accurate mechanical and plumbing documents during the construction process.
