Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Ohio in Cincinnati is seeking a Mechanical Engineer – HVAC & Hydronics to support clients in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. You will evaluate systems and develop practical engineered solutions for construction, retrofit, replacements, and design-build projects.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's in mechanical engineering, strong HVAC/hydronic knowledge, and experience with design tools like AutoCAD or Revit.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial/industrial HVAC and hydronic systems.
  • Experience with system design, load calculations, and applicable codes.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary mechanical/HVAC engineering resource for the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky market.
  • Partner with Sales to evaluate customer needs and provide technical direction for proposed solutions.
  • Review existing system conditions, drawings, equipment, and customer requirements.
  • Develop practical, cost-effective engineered solutions for HVAC and hydronic systems.
  • Support estimates, scopes of work, equipment selections, layouts, and proposal development.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and field leadership from concept through construction, startup, and closeout.

## Mechanical Engineer – HVACApplylocations: Cincinnati, OH (CSUSA-OH)time type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR107067Comfort Systems USA Ohio is growing our Cincinnati team, and we’re looking for a knowledgeable, practical, and customer-focused **Mechanical Engineer – HVAC & Hydronics** to support our Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and surrounding metro area.This role is ideal for a mechanical/HVAC engineering professional who enjoys being close to the work, partnering with sales and operations, and helping customers understand the best path forward for their mechanical systems.As the **Mechanical Engineer – HVAC & Hydronics**, you will serve as the **engineering expert in the room**. You will partner closely with Sales, Project Managers, Estimators, Foremen, Supervisors, and field teams to evaluate customer needs, assess existing HVAC and hydronic systems, and develop practical engineered solutions for construction, retrofit, replacement, and design-build opportunities.**This is not a traditional engineering role where your work stays on paper.
