Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions, a division of Amphenol Corporation, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the HSIO Products team in Nashua, NH. You will design components for High-Speed IO interconnects and cables, performing basic analyses and contributing to environmental testing.

The role emphasizes drawings, specifications, and collaboration with senior engineers to ensure design compliance and production sustainment. Strong communication skills and a mechanical aptitude are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering; MS preferred.
• 3-5 years electromechanical product design/support experience.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and perform tolerance assessments (ASME Y-14.5 a plus).
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and basic mechanical analysis (thermal/structural).
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of hardware components for High-Speed IO Interconnect and Cable devices per design requirements.
• Perform basic static, dynamic and heat transfer analyses; compile data for senior engineers.
• Support verification/validation: fabrication, environmental testing, prototype hardware, vibration, shock, thermal tests.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, reports and design review packages.
